All of our race cars are hand crafted to meticulous detail at our workshop in Southampton England. We aim to build your Type R Trophy race car within 2 weeks from the drop off of the donor car. This also depends on our current work load and the availability of parts from our suppliers.
The Type R Trophy race cars also offer a very appealing a very capable track car which we are more than happy to build for you for this purpose. It will be built to the same regulation should you wish to compete in the Trophy at a later date. Please do have in mind that all of the prices below include a Type R Trophy registered driver discount which is 10%. This is offered to them to support there racing and is a form of sponsorship.

Here at Revo Works we build beautiful bespoke Type R Trophy race cars. The build quality is of the very highest standard. We do it that way as we love what we do and thats just how its done. The cars are built by hand to the very latest MSA blue book regulations and Type R Trophy regulations. We have been building race cars since 2010, Mazda MX5 race cars, Civic Cup race cars, M3 Cup race cars, hill climb and sprint cars. Our cars have been vigorously tested and race proven. They are capable of achieving poles and the top step and, in the right hands the championship. Our builds are evolving all the time with the design and development of new products and ways of doing things. Our cars can be built in a number of different ways depending on your budget and specification requirements. It is worth noting that the very idea behind the Type R Trophy is affordable racing so we offer the cars built to our normal very high standard but with budget very much in mind.
Do you want a more detailed build?
Although the prices below do not include it, we do offer as far as a “bolt build” where we strip the car to the bolts which are then acid dipped and gold zinc plated. The suspension parts, subframes and misc brackets are all powder coated in satin black. Shells can also be stripped to the bear metal and powder coated. We have a dedicated paint shop on hand to finish your race car in your chosen livery. We only use the very best parts, manufacturers and services when manufacturing our cars and we are proud of what we do. These builds can take significantly longer depending on how busy our finishers are.
How much is it going to cost?
The plan from us with the Type R Trophy, as with everything we do, is to be as transparent as possible. The idea of the Type R Trophy is affordable racing and here we aim to illustrate to you the cost to have a race winning car. A very important part of the build is how good your donor car is. We always say start with a really great road car thats been loved and well maintained. A car with great service history and hasn’t been neglected or wrapped around a tree. Crashed cars, although cheaper at the start incur costs later in the build with possible chassis straightening and parts. In our opinion and experience, it’s just not worth saving the money with a dodgy donor. So, set yourself a sensible sized budget and have in mind everything you want to do with the car and get out of it and give us a call, even better, come down and visit. All of the packages list the main items included but they also include sundries and other parts to complete the installation.
