Go Racing / ARDS / MSA Racing Licence

Start Racing

You will need a valid MSA Racing Licence to race in UK Championships. Here are the steps to take to get yours.

First up you will need to order an MSA “GO RACING” Starter Pack from the MSA.

Secondly you will need to book your ARDS Test. Make sure you have time to prepare between receiving your MSA “GO RACING” Starter Pack and your test day. I completed my ARDS test at SILVERSTONE.

Thirdly and part of your racing licence process is obtaining a medical. This can be booked with your Doctors Surgery and generally costs about £100.

Useful tips!

Grab a copy of the UK Circuit Guide for a wealth of knowledge on every UK Racing Circuit.

Get some track time! Book some track days before your ARDS. Book an instructor if you need to. We offer track tuition and support, for more information contact us.

Do some Karting! Karting teaches you so much about car control and a ton of race craft.

I’d rather be a racing driver for a day than a spectator for life
